Eating Well
Did You Know?
Canned fish loses none of its omega 3s during the production process. Connétable mackerel and sardines in olive oil are high in omega 3s.
Since our bodies are unable to produce them, we have to incorporate omega 3s into our diets every day. The best sources of these fatty acids are nuts, rapeseed oil, soybean oil, and “fatty” fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines.

Ever hear of alpha-linolenic acid, EPA, or DHA? These are all types of omega 3s.
Omega 3s are fats that are naturally present in seafood products and known for their beneficial action on our health.
But What Exactly Is An Omega 3?
Without getting too scientific (after all, we want to keep your idea of sardines and mackerel intact), here’s what you need to know:
• Omega 3s are fats boasting outstanding nutritional qualities
• Omega 3 are essential fatty acids
They are known as “essential” because our bodies cannot produce them naturally but need them to function well. Omega 3s help keep our hearts healthy.

Benefits of Canned Fish
Caught at the peak of the sardines season and hand-packed under Connétable’s highest quality criteria, the sardines are a natural source of Protein, Calcium, Vitamin D and Omega 3. Connétable Sardines are a true pack of Nutritional Punch, delivering all the Natural Health Benefits from the Sea!Natural source of Omega 3, Protein & Vitamin D Wild caught sardines Freshly delivered to the cannery Hand packed OU – Kosher certified.

Foods to Incorporate Into All Our Diets
These foods are often lacking from our kitchens. As a result, our intake of omega 3s is usually insufficient. However, it’s easy to incorporate them into your cooking – such as via appetizers like Douarnenez tapas.
Nutritionists and the French public authorities encourage consumers to increase their consumption of omega 3s. 100 g of Connétable sardines in olive oil or canned mackerel is rich in omega 3s (DHA and EPA) and largely fulfills your daily essential fatty acid allowance.
Handy sizes, varied and delicious recipes, products that contribute to good health…there’s always a great reason to choose Connétable!
